INTRODUCTION.

CONSIDER THIS is a list of posts the purpose of which is to encourage mental activity and, through that, spiritual growth.

N.B. Words here, as in all my writings, are carefully chosen for a specific reason so do not jump to a conclusion as to an intended meaning. The use of a good dictionary – preferably U.K. English – is recommended.

As an example take the word profit: This will generally be taken to mean financial gain yet it has a range of meanings, all of which may apply in a post. In such a case it is certainly advantageous to the reader to know all the meanings!

The Small Claims Tribunal and the free hotline of the Singapore Tourism Board
are the best places for shoppers to file complaints
against vendors. With online shopping you will instantly know if you can find what you are looking for,
or if you can’t, potentially saving you hours looking for what you
want. I write about this in my book Authentic Style: A
practical guide to loving how you look every day.

Thanks for your fascinating blogs. I haven’t commented a lot, but I’m hoping to go back and read some of your earlier posts from before I found you!

In the meantime, I’ve decided to pass on the Inspiring Blogger Award to you. It’s a badge you can put in your side bar, and nominate others if you’d like. Here’s my acceptance post so you have an idea of what it is.

Thank you, Lisa, on behalf of those who may benefit by your action here as well as generally. As I have stated in my writings they are best read in the order The Milk Is White, The ‘Quo Vadis?’ File III, Consider This and Challenging Questions, for the reasons given.

  3. Ian Gardner says:

No, Lakshman (Lucky?) I have not heard of him but I do not doubt that many such has him do exist. I am glad that their insights exist as they do and gladder that you are reading them.
I agree with your, “The Buddha`s path to awakening is open even today and may be realised by one who genuinely and sincerely wishes to end the travails of Samsara.” although, without in any way denigrating the Buddha’s message, I would, in line with what I have written, which is very much akin to what the Buddha stated, re-state it without the word ‘Buddha'”.
You address me as B.I. which means you know me from way, way back but I regret I cannot recall you. Could you please enlighten me either here or by email? Meanwhile I will have a look at your profile.
By the way, what is the meaning of Ehi Passiko?

  4. B.I,.have you heard of Ajahn Sumedho of Amaravati monasteryLondon,an enlightened Buddhist American monk of over 40 years standing ? He is now retired and returned to Thailand where he trained under the great Ajahn Chah. These two have shared their insights in a wonderful series of publications,of wich the most recent text I have been reading and re-reading for the sheer joy and beauty of it is `Sound of Silence`,a 359 paqge classic (Wisdom Publications) by the former. The Buddha`s path to awakening is open even today and may be realised by one who genuinely and sincerely wishes to end the travails of Samsara. Ehi Passiko !
